EFIBCA Open Meeting 2011 unites worldwide FIBC industry
More than 60 participants from 17 different countries met at the EFIBCA Open Meeting on 11 May 2011 in Düsseldorf. The Open Meeting was the third of its kind and united worldwide producers and traders of FIBCs with users, suppliers and other packaging experts.
The current challenges of the big bag industry were reflected by eight presentations, ranging from the raw material situation to new legilsative requirements for food contract packaging and appropriate ways of reconditioning and recycling of used FIBCs. The speakers equipped the audience with useful knowledge, such as criteria for choosing the right mineral fillers, but also showed practical ways for dealing with “soft” issues such as Corporate Social Responsibility and Carbon Footprints. After the meeting, the participants enjoyed relaxed chats and networking with drinks and food.
